Thousands of people have electronically signed off a parliamentary petition that calls for revocation of Elon Musk’s citizenship of Canada.
The news comes after many people expressed their dismay for his role in the current Trump administration that they feel is a major threat to Canada’s sovereignty.
The petition will be making it through to the House of Commons process that was first initiated by Qualia Reed.
Now, new democrat MP Charlie Angus is speaking out against the tech billionaire and we must admit that it’s not surprising at all. He’s been a very fierce critic for so long.
Elon Musk happens to a native of South Africa but he’s got citizenship in Canada through his mother who was born in Regina.
The petition states that Musk is a billionaire businessman and adviser to Donald Trump. He’s been engaging in activities that go against the country’s national interest.
Trump also threatened to impose several tariffs related to Canadian products and has even openly mused about the nation being the 51st state.
This drew the ire of millions of people based in Canada.
