Chaos was seen in the skies today after a massive explosion closed down Heathrow Airport.
Thousands of flights were diverted at the world’s busiest airport leading to so much chaos in the skies.

The airport is said to be one of the busiest in the world and will be shut due to this major blaze at a nearby electricity substation. That is what resulted in serious power outages and systems crashing all of a sudden.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined and some are going as far as to claim it might be linked to sabotage.

The London Fire Brigade said they got nearly 200 calls about the large explosion. Some flights that took off from parts of the US turned around midair and landed back where they had departed from.
One social media user explained how the matter was beyond chaotic as many had to return to their countries as the airport would be shut for an unprecedented amount of time.

This close led to a serious impact around the globe. Nearly 120 flights located in the air were ready to land but were forced to turn back after this unfortunate ordeal as per flight tracking website FlightRadar24.
