Jennifer Love Hewitt didn’t hold back when she responded to critics who called her “fake” in a selfie she shared on social media this month.
Reports say that the star of Ghost Whisperer was in an Instagram post from her hairstylist, Nikki Lee, and some people online quickly accused her of looking different because of editing.
This happened after Jennifer got a new bob haircut and dyed her hair a deep brown. Her stylist wrote in the post, “Was time to spice things up.”
Whenever a celebrity changes their look, fans usually have a lot to say. While many of Jennifer’s followers praised her new style, some tried to put her down by suggesting she had plastic surgery.
The actress, who became famous for her role in I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997), was even called “unrecognizable” by a few people.
Celebrities often choose to ignore their critics, but Love Hewitt took a different approach. She responded to her haters by sharing a bunch of photos that hinted at the idea she had altered her appearance with surgery.
“So many people said I look different,” the actress commented.
“I look the same as always. I couldn’t look more natural. I woke up like this. Filters don’t change you that much.”
The playful pictures showed a bunch of filters on Hewitt’s face. They might look over-the-top, but the actress asked everyone to be nice when they comment on other people’s photos.
She wrapped up her post by saying, “Let people choose to be filtered or unfiltered. Be good. Be kind. Spread love.”
Earlier this year, people talked a lot about Love Hewitt’s looks after she shared a picture to celebrate her 44th birthday.

There were many comments then left by fans and followers who were surprised by how different the former child star looked.
I found this picture in an article and thought it was a mistake because I really didn’t think it was JLH. I couldn’t see any similarities at all. So, I went on Instagram to check it out, and I was totally surprised, one person said.
“Why doesn’t she look like herself? I’m so confused,” another added.
“That’s not her,” a third claimed. “It can’t be.”
